President
Dr. JCL Agbodo, an alumnus of Anlo Secondary school, made history as the first student-elected Senior Prefect in 1980, deviating from the customary practice of appointment of Senior Prefects by the Headmaster.
Following completion of his Psychiatric Training at the Royal London and St. Bartholomew’s Training Scheme, he assumed the role of Consultant Psychiatrist at a prominent London Hospital. He holds a Master’s degree in Epileptology from Kings College London.
In 2007, Dr. Agbodo relocated to British Columbia, Canada, where he served as the Chief of Psychiatry/Head of Department at the Penticton Regional Hospital. He worked tirelessly to rebuild the department which had collapsed before his arrival, restoring it into a very vibrant department.
Presently, he holds the position of an Associate Professor at Dalhousie Medical School in Nova Scotia and Memorial University of Newfoundland, actively engaging in teaching of final year medical students from both institutions. Additionally, he maintains a busy private practice in Saint John in Brunswick.
Dr. Agbodo harbours a fervent passion for education and the enhancement of educational standards, particularly within the Volta Region of Ghana.
Vice President
Dr. Dasmon Alex Akpabli is a distinguished academic and dedicated philanthropist with a strong commitment to empowering communities. An alumnus of Anlo Senior High School (formerly Anlo Secondary School), he currently serves as the Vice President of ANSSOSA Diaspora, a charitable organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, that supports impactful initiatives.
Dr. Akpabli holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Ghana Business School and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Entrepreneurship from Walden University. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, he brings extensive expertise in Entrepreneurship and Business Development, shaping future leaders in the field.
With nine years of service as a Director on the Board of World Vision Ghana, Dr. Akpabli has been deeply involved in initiatives that drive positive change. His unwavering passion lies in being a source of hope and support, particularly for vulnerable children, reflecting his lifelong dedication to making a meaningful impact.
Secretary
Gertie Adzei (now Wadieh), was the first student elected Girl’s Prefect of Anlo Secondary School. She served along with the President and earned the pet’s name ‘GP’ in the class of the 1980.
She worked as Accounts Assistant in one of the State Hotels in Ghana 1982 - 1984. She furthered her training to qualify as Level 3 Accounting Technician, worked for a well-known Pharmaceutical in Hertfordshire, England 1998.
She did a turnaround from accounting to Nursing after graduating from the University of Hull with a BSc Honours, specializing as a Mental Health Nurse in 2009. She fell naturally into coaching and mentoring pre-registered students, return to nursing and registered colleagues taking up mentorship preparatory certificates. She encouraged and supported several nursing assistants to becoming registered nurses within her departments.
In 2017, she gained the Independent and Non-Medical Prescriber’s stand-a-lone Master’s certificate whilst working for a Community Interest Company in England. She is a Peer Reviewers of the Royal College of Psychiatrist for Home Treatment Accreditation Scheme and participates in clinical audits for Psychotropic drug usage.
As a mother, supporting and caring comes naturally hence in 2021 -2024, she served as the first elected Staff Representative and Non-Executive Director for the Company, representing the Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) at the board level to ensure their voices and views were echoed and given opportunities to thrive and grow in their careers. She will transfer the same passion and duty of care to serve as secretary to ANSSOSA DIASPORA.
Financial Secretary
Jonathan K. Sefogbe is a distinguished Certified Public Accountant and financial strategist with extensive expertise in taxation, auditing, and corporate financial management. As the founder and principal of Jonathan & Associates, Inc., an esteemed accounting firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, he has built a reputation for delivering expert financial solutions.
Jonathan's professional journey includes pivotal roles at leading institutions such as GT Reilly & Company, where he served as a Tax Accountant; State Street Bank & Trust, as a Mutual & Hedge Funds Analyst; and Newburg & Company LLP, as a Senior Accountant. His work has encompassed auditing and tax compliance for private corporations, tax-exempt organizations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Rooted in the traditions of Ghana’s Volta Region, Jonathan’s academic journey began at Anlo Secondary School, where he earned his GCE O’ Level in 1994. He continued his studies at Ho Polytechnic, obtaining a Diploma in Business Studies with a specialization in accounting. With multiple academic excellence scholarships, he pursued higher education at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Management - Accounting. He later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.
Jonathan holds the prestigious Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and is an IRS Enrolled Agent, granting him the authority to represent corporate and individual taxpayers before the IRS and U.S. Tax Courts across the United States and Virgin Islands.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jonathan is deeply devoted to his Christian faith and family. He resides in Boston, Massachusetts, with his wife, a dedicated nurse, and their four daughters.
Organizing Secretary
Mr. Johnny-Bris Dodzi Agbematu is a professional mechanical engineer and a proud member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honours from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
An alumnus of Anlo Secondary School, Class of 1980, Mr. Agbematu actively contributes to the school community as the Organizing Secretary of ANSSOSA DIASPORA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the academic and professional development of students.
With extensive experience in Maintenance Engineering, Planning, and Management, Mr. Agbematu has held several key roles throughout his career. During the 1980s and 1990s at AngloGold Ashanti, he served in positions such as Design Engineer, Plant Engineer, and Maintenance Planning Engineer, playing a pivotal role in establishing a computerized maintenance management system within the company. His expertise extended to Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, where he worked as a Maintenance and Logistics Planner.
Currently, Mr. Agbematu holds the position of Maintenance Manager at AMTRAK’s New York High-Speed Rail Mechanical Department, where he is dedicated to ensuring operational efficiency. His passion for education and mentorship is evident in his commitment to training and guiding new hires in AMTRAK’s NY HSR mechanical department.
Mr. Agbematu is deeply invested in inspiring young individuals to approach learning with enthusiasm and excellence. As Organizing Secretary of ANSSOSA DIASPORA, he is devoted to fostering a culture of Academic Excellence and Integrity, ensuring that students of Anlo Secondary School thrive and become exemplary ambassadors of their institution.
Vice Secretary
Ruth Akpene Duodu is a dedicated professional with a diverse career spanning hospitality, IT, Human Resources, and Marketing. After graduating from Anlo Secondary School in 1982, she pursued catering studies at Takoradi Polytechnic and later enrolling in Institutional Management at Accra Polytechnic. In 1987, she relocated to Canada, where she continued her studies at Humber College in Toronto, earning honors and receiving the prestigious Lieutenant Governor of Ontario’s award. Her dedication led her to a managerial role at Royal York Hotel.
Taking a brief break from the workforce to focus on her family, Ruth later transitioned into IT, becoming a certified Oracle Applications Developer. She further expanded her expertise by earning a Human Resources diploma from Centennial College, working at AON Hewitt as a Benefits Analyst, where she managed benefits for major corporations such as General Motors and Air Canada.
Currently in marketing at an international startup, Ruth remains passionate about education in Ghana, actively supporting Anlo Secondary School through the ANSSOSA DIASPORA initiative. She values family, community, and leadership, engaging in local volunteer work and leading the Women’s organization at her church.
Vice Financial Secretary
Mr. Dziwornu Kwami Ladzekpo, affectionately known as "I Trust My Leg," is a highly skilled Network Engineer and proud alumnus of Anlo Secondary School, class of 1989. In 1986, he relocated to the United States, settling in California, where he pursued his passion for Information Technology at Los Angeles Mission College. After earning an associate degree, he advanced his studies at DeVry University, completing certifications in Networking, System Administration, and Network Security.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Ladzekpo is deeply committed to education and community development. In 2016, he donated 10 desktop computers with monitors to AAFIA Secondary School in his hometown of Anyako. In 2019, he successfully raised over $7,000 to restore his former primary school, WEME Basic School. His philanthropic efforts continued in 2022 when he returned to Ghana to explore ways to support Anlo Secondary School.
Currently serving as a Vice Financial Secretary, he works as a Project Manager in the IT department of a construction and utility company, overseeing new office setups and maintaining network infrastructure. His dedication to education, community, and family reflects his unwavering commitment to uplifting others and investing in his roots.
